Pool Info

As you enjoy our Aquatics Center, know that our friendly and knowledgeable staff is also here for your safety. Please follow pool etiquette so that we can continue to keep our pools open and safe for all to enjoy. Thank you for your cooperation. Pool guidelines and schedules listed below.

Lifeguards are on duty 7 days a week in June, July and August from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. In May and September, lifeguards are on duty Saturdays and Sundays only, from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm.

General Pool Etiquette

  1. Please take a soap shower before entering pools or spa.
  2. Please do not run on pool decks.
  3. Jumping or diving off pool edges is prohibited.
  4. Please do not sit or climb over the lane lines.
  5. Food, drink or glass containers are not allowed in or near the pool areas.
  6. Keep balls, Frisbees or large inner tubes away from pool and pool area.

Main Lap Pool

8 lanes, 25 yards, 80º F (1 mile = 72 lengths)

The Main Lap Pool is used for lap swimming, Masters swim practice, Panthers swim team and swim lessons. Only adults may use this pool in June, July and August.

Guidelines

  • Members must share lanes when needed
  • Kids must be potty-trained to enter this pool -- no swim diapers allowed. If there is an accident in this pool, it will be closed for 24 hours.

Back Lap Pool

6 lanes, 25 yards, 83º F (1 mile = 72 lengths)

From September through May this pool (and pool deck) is reserved for adults only, ages 16 and up. Lap swimming, adult swim lessons and Water Fitness classes take place here. For most of the year, this pool is used primarily by more novice swimmers and senior lap swimmers. During the summer months, the Back Lap Pool is used mainly for family recreation and kids swim lessons. Lifeguards are on duty only during the summer.

Guidelines

  • Members must share lanes when needed
  • Except during the summer, you must be 16 years of age or older to enter this pool or use the pool deck
  • In the summer months, children who enter this pool must be potty-trained -- no swim diapers allowed

Recreation Pool

57 x 22 feet, 88º F

This pool is available for recreational swimming every day. A portion of it is also reserved for swim lessons. The Recreation Pool is “tented” year-round. This provides more sun protection in the summertime and keeps the pool warmer in the winter (tent sides go up from November - February).

Guidelines

  • Children who are not potty trained may use this pool. They must wear disposable swim diapers, plastic pants and a bathing suit. If there is an accident in this pool, it will be closed for 4 hours.
  • Children under the age of 14 must be supervised at all times.

Children’s Wading Pool

The wading pool is used by parents and children under 5. The water is kept at 88 º F year-round and a “water park teacup” operates in the summertime.

Guidelines

  • In June, July and August, lifeguards are on duty 7 days a week from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. The water park teacup may be turned on during these times.
  • Children who are not potty trained may swim in this pool. They must wear disposable swim diapers, plastic pants and a bathing suit. If there is an accident in this pool it will be closed for 2 hours.

Outdoor Spa

The outdoor spa is for all members 5 years of age and older. If there is an accident in this pool, it will be closed for 2 hours.

Guidelines

  • Maximum of 19 people in spa at one time
  • No food, drink or glass containers allowed
  • Do not exceed 30 minutes in spa. Excessive exposure can be harmful to your health.
  • Elderly persons, pregnant women and those with health conditions should consult their physician before entering the spa.
